About me

Introduction A few things in life bring me complete joy. Teaching children is one of them. I've enjoyed teaching kindergarten and third grade in a private school. But, one of my most rewarding teaching experiences has been privately homeschooling a boy his 4th through 6th grade years and now teaching his sister in grade 1. Reflecting back, I believe my passion for teaching was inspired when I was a shy little girl in 2nd grade and a teacher made a difference in my life. In a class of 31, I knew she noticed me, loved me, and was able to excite me to learn new things. I've found the best way to excite children to learn is through excellent literature, art, nature, and in acknowledging God's hand in all things. As a teacher who has influence on young children's fresh minds, my desire is to lead them to wonderful treasures, which will kindle their spirits and provide them with not only the milk of life, but the honey also. I love honey, and I have much to share.
