| Introduction | I've been working on my family's genealogy for a number of years. Besides Ackley, the other surnames I am researching are Luenzmann, Freudenberg, Jones, Weber, Leidel, Lorenzen, Misegades, Jeannerette, Ostman/Assmann, Hoffmann, Zwengel, Weiss, Urich, Hooper, and Boettcher. I do a lot of research online, but I have visited courthouses, libraries, the local Family History Center, the National Archives, and historical societies. I have recently gotten interested in genetic genealogy and hope to use DNA testing to help break down some of my brick walls. I am the volunteer administrator for the Ackley Surname Project at Family Tree DNA. |
