| Introduction | I received my B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley and have spent the past 3 years working as a health services research associate at the Veterans Affairs (VA) Palo Alto Health Care System. Since my desire to positively impact society has been inherent in almost every career and volunteer decision I have made, I am eager to immerse myself in the cause to alleviate poverty through microfinance. I view my fellowship with Kiva as a perfect opportunity that will enable me to pursue my true passions: traveling, experiencing new cultures, and being part of a noble cause which helps empower underprivileged individuals. |
