| Introduction | I love traveling to different countries and learning about new cultures around the world. I started a tradition years ago that everytime I traveled to a foreign country, I would bring home a cookbook filled with local recipes. I love my collection which includes cookbooks from Iceland, Nova Scotia, Argentina, and South Africa just to name a few!! I also spent two summers in a row doing a work exchange program on organic farms, one on a small farm in Northern Nova Scotia and the other at a bed and breakfast with a teepee campground in upstate New York that served organic meals picked from the garden. These were life changing experiences that helped me remember what is really important in life...good friends, family, conversation, food, and laughter! |
