Introduction	I received my BFA from the Columbus College of Art & Design in 1995 and my MLS from Kent State University in 2001. I live in Columbus where I work as a librarian and painter and am an active participant in the Columbus art scene. My work has been recognized by local art organizations GCAC & OAC and has won numerous awards over the years. Most recently I received the Bad Girls for Good Art award for my piece titled Gravity at OAL’s 100th Spring Juried Exhibition. I am a member of OAL and CAW: Creative Arts of Women. My work is contemplative and playful. While some pieces are purely decorative exploring color, texture and design others delve into the inner workings of an abstract environment. They are surreal narratives that strive to engage the viewer's sense of mystery. Over the last year my love of collecting old things morphed with my love for creating and this new collection of work emerged. My work seeks to not only bring something new to the moment but to celebrate the inherent beauty of the world as we know it through its slight re-purposing as art.
