| Introduction | I'm a 57 year old woman recently relocated to Grass Valley Ca from the northern Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. I've joined my old friend and new love, George Anderson, and we are making our way on the journey of life and love. He is a seasoned metalsmith, and I am learning the art. My artistic background has been focused mostly in the performing arts, although I have always loved to draw, write, and sometimes make 2 dimensional art. For 14 years I was involved--as a teacher and board member--in a small alternative school, where, for a time, I was happy to utilize my artistic sensibilities toward the creation and implementation of a nurturing and dynamic education model. Here, I find myself learning a new craft, as I acclimate to a new and different social and environmental climate. I've two sons-29 and 19-and 8 siblings, and a piece of land back in Virginia, which I hope to build on and settle into (with my beloved) in the vague future. |
