| Introduction | I admit it. My guilty pleasure for the last, oh, lifetime, has been reading personal ads. It started innocently with newspaper personals and escalated to a closet hobby once the Internet sprang to life. I discovered I could combine my love of typos, non-sequiturs and irony with my passion for reading these unique little windows into the souls of perfect strangers. For a brief period I even thought I could find 'the one' by sifting through thousands of these mini-manuscripts and manifestos, but all I found were even funnier situations and emails to collect. And so it goes that I've become a bit of an online dating profile swat team in recent years. This blog is about a huge and ever growing collection of truly bad personal ads. The good news: There's no shortage. On any given day I can find an endless supply of unbelievable writings, pleadings and boastings. If I had a dime for every bad personal ad I've read, well, I'd be on a beach in Hawaii reading them off a fancy cell phone. Until then, I'll be here bringing you all the best of the worst from my PC.
