| Introduction | I specialize in the philosophy of science (particularly biology), metaphysics, and epistemology — core areas of analytic philosophy. I also teach logic and philosophy of ecology. I'm from Portland, Oregon originally but went to college out east at Dartmouth, then studied with Philip Kitcher and Achille Varzi at Columbia for my Ph.D. After teaching for a few years back west, at the University of Idaho, I moved to Bucknell in 2009. |
