| Introduction | Greetings! My name is Maggie Thompson and I am a second semester grad student at USF in both the DNP-FNP and MPH programs. I am a registered nurse on the cardiovascular and thoracic surgery unit at UCSF. I can be described as a bit of a nerd and Carl Sagan is one of my absolute heroes. The name of this blog is inspired by 'Contact' in honor of Mr. Sagan and his contributions. Though, not a person that is typically associated with healthcare or environmental issues, his work has guided me to consider life on a more global scale and been a predominant inspiration for my desire to understand public health. |
