| Introduction | The cliff notes: I grew up training for the Olympics as a figure skater but never made the national team. I dropped out of high school to finish my education at community college. Upon graduation I traveled the world for 4 years (China, Korea, Australia, Europe) working for a humanitarian relief organization. I caught the Hollywood bug when I was invited by a friend to be an intern on a movie in Hawaii. Soon after, I moved to LA and joined the many desperates seeking to "make it in the biz." I was an extra for about a year before I secured my first assistant gig: indentured servant for an agent at CAA. I lasted 4 long years... I learned a ton and made great connections in addition to the panic attacks. After my tenure at the death star I decided to put myself out to pasture in the form of working for a production company. I spent 2 years in development in the fabulous world of Jim Brooks before the walls closed in on my cubicle farm and I decided to go back to what made me fall in love with Hollywood in the first place: working on the set. I worked on sets in Pittsburgh, New Orleans, Bali and recently all over Europe. |
