Introduction	Born and raised on the North Shore of Long Island, Michelle Brooks left New York for New Jersey where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music. Following college, unable to successfully navigate traffic circles and having lost her Long Island accent, she had no choice but to make New Jersey her home. Along the way, she went from the world of music to the world of autism education, a field which she has been passionate about for over 25 years. She earned her Master’s degree in Counseling and holds certifications as a Nationally Certified Counselor and Human Services Board Certified Practitioner. When she is not working, she can be found spending time with her pets, wearing a tiara while scuba diving with sea creatures, sitting at a poker table, singing or listening to music, searching for a synonym for “thesaurus”, reading, wrestling with dust bunnies or shopping for shoes.
