Introduction Coach Dee is an Assistant Coach at his Alma mater, Brigham Young University. His coaching assignment is the Distance Freestylers. He is a Level 4 certified coach with the American Swim Coaches Association. He was born and raised in northern California and swam for the Santa Clara Swim Club in his teen years. He began coaching in Mesa, Arizona and has coached in Utah, New Mexico, and Washington State winning high school championships in all three states. He has received B.S. and M.S. degrees from Brigham Young University. In 2008 he took two H.A.S.T. swimmers to Olympic trials, and in 2012 2 more qualified to compete at the Trials. His goal at BYU is to help create, and build a program that is continuously providing student-athletes with the opportunity to compete at the highest levels on a national and international scale. He enjoys seeing his swimmers excel in and out of the pool. In his spare time he dreams of fly fishing and hiking the Grand Canyon from rim to rim. He is married to Mrs. Coach Dee and together they have raised 5 great kids! Most of them are swimmers!
