Introduction | I’m 17. I play guitar and am really into music, although I know little theory. I listen to mainly progressive rock and jazz, although who can starve themselves of some bullshit rap every once in a while? I am surrounded by people who are content with their entry into senior year, however I am not that worked up, and would rather have graduated this year. I want to go to college at University of Oregon. Why? I was originally interested in their good journalism school, and I then noticed they had all of my alternatie majors as well. It is a very liberal campus and most who go there love it. I feel I would fit in there more than a school everyone goes to just due to indifference (like the people who go to Indiana/Iowa just because). I am known as the asshole who always dicks around and takes few things seriously, although on the inside, I am actually a very goal-oriented person. I think I am a much better leader than most people I know, yet am just not given any power because of my reputation. I remind myself of Office Space in that way. Other than that, I can be an asshole, but only when prompted. Most of the time, if you don't make me irate, I am a good friend to those I care about. |
Interests | Guitar, politics, music, computers, writing, journalism, traveling, exiting the middle class. |
Favorite Movies | Casino Royale, 40 year old virgin, Super Troopers, the Godfather, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Rounders, Stand By Me, Mean Girls, I don't know, those are just randoms. Here is what would NOT be on that list: Anchorman. Will Ferrell has lost it. He sucks. That sucked so bad. Watched it twice, and didn't laugh once. Yes, even that part. |
Favorite Music | Dream Theater. That deserves its own space not disturbed by commas (I listen to John Petrucci's solo stuff, too). Other than that, jazz: Herbie Hancock, Freddie Hubbard, Chick Corea, Miles Davis, Wes Montgomery. Metal: (Old) Trivium, Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, Soilwork. Other: Jimi Hendrix, John Mayer Trio, 311, Frank Zappa, Cake, A Perfect Circle, Matisyahu, Paul Gilbert, Phish, Rush, Umphrey's McGee. There is more I'm sure. |
Favorite Books | I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell, The Alphabet of Manliness |
Why don't you ever wear a scarf? It doesn't need to be cold outside for your neck to feel naked.
Scarves aren't manly. I have a few acquiantances who wear scarves, but I am not the type. Chances are you have more problems than one if you are having issues with a neck "feeling naked."
