| Introduction | Hii friends.. myself Shashank Borade. I am from Jalna but residing in Pune for last 6 years. I have completed my B.Tech in Civil Engineering. And currently pursuing Masters in Construction Management. Travelling and trekking are my hobbies. |
| Interests | Mountains are my favourite landsacpe. In fact the word ''Parvat'' (mountain) itself means that the earth has risen in celebration (Parv = celebration). To experience this celebration of the Mother Earth I frequently go in Sahyadris. Sahyadris - one of the most beautiful mountain range with its high peaks, flat-topped hills, steep canyons, rugged plateaus, dense jungles, wild flowers, beautiful meadows - in short its heaven on earth. But thats not all. If South India is land of temples; Maharashtra is Land of Forts and Caves(rock cut). World over people trek. But that's just to watch natural scenery. But in Maharashtra we get to see ancient forts built in the mountains. Radiating the presence of the Great King Shivaji Maharaj and his times. And in these mountains are places each telling a story of bravery of the sons of the soils to defend the homeland. If they ever come to life; every stone will tell an inspiring story. In fact Marathi people are so fond of forts that we start building forts in our childhood itself in Diwali. However, while trekking, one has to ensure that they leave this places as they are. Plastic should not be thrown. Even small wrapper of chocolate should not be left back as plastic is not biodegradable and it chokes the ecosystem |
