Introduction I am a reticent. I live reticent and I preach reticence. If that isn’t enough for you I also deal in a wide range of other contradictions such as planning accidents and imagining worlds in which no hypothetical situations exist. The Reticence Movement is founded on the premise that we’d all be a lot happier if everyone just shut up for a bit and stopped taking themselves and the rest of the world so seriously. In other words, recognise and embrace your insignificance. The only thing I know about the world is that you can go down to the river, sit on the grass and watch a fly get eaten by a dragonfly. If you’re lucky you may then see that very same dragonfly get eaten by a sparrow. Then, if you’re really lucky you may see the sparrow get eaten by a sparrowhawk and, on particularly rare occasions, a big goshawk might just swoop down from nowhere and eat the sparrowhawk. If you want to get involved you can eat the goshawk. If not, you can just sit, content and peaceful in the understanding that every single thing that happens on this planet is completely and utterly pointless…and that includes you, baby!
