Introduction	The Cathedral parish of St. John the Evangelist in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan has been a place of worship and a community of faith for more than a century. Early settlers to the area placed a high priority on the establishment of a parish of the Church of England and were well supported in their endeavours by benefactors in England and by the enthusiasm and resourcefulness of the local population. Today, our magnificent cathedral building is a witness to the faith of many, past and present, and the activities of our parish manifest our mission – to be the heart, hands, mouth, ears and feet of Jesus Christ in our parish, community and diocese through worship, education and service.
