Introduction I am a seminarian at Church Divinity School of the Pacific (MTS ‘19), a deacon-in-training at Good Shepherd Episcopal in Berkeley and a postulant for the diaconate in the Diocese of California. My focus in ministry has been serving the senior population, working with incarcerated women, co-mentoring Education for Ministry (EfM) and serving liturgically. My master’s thesis is focused on how deacons can help the Episcopal Church to expand its welcome and support to LGBTQ+ people of faith. My life thus far has been quite a journey and perhaps a classic meta-example of A.D.D.-as-lifestyle, with a strong current of spirituality running through it – hence, "Shiny Thoughts". Come read, consider, comment and enjoy!
