| Favorite music | Black Box Recorder, anything by Luke Haines or John Moore, almost anything from the '80's, hence Pet Shop Boys ad infinitum. Also, opera (Don Giovanni probably my favourite) and a lot of other things- except jazz, due to my vast ignorance of said genre. |
| Favorite books | Oh dear- rather a long one- Currently Montaigne's 'Essais', having just read a biography of him, The Alexandria Quartet, Kolyma Tales, A day in the life of Ivan Denisovitch and numerous others, but I suppose if I had to name a favourite it would be Casanova's 'Histoire de ma Vie'. Lest this list should sound grossly pretensious, I also love anything by Michael Marshall Smith. Particularly 'Only Forward'. Basically, I'll read anything. Within limits. |
