IntroductionHello, my name is Ben "BENERGY" Young. I am certified through A.C.E. and APEX; I also have my C.P.R. and A.E.D. card. I have been fitness professional for over 3 years now. I was a wildland firefighter before I became a personal trainer. Both are very rewarding careers but I get more joy out of helping people change their lives and finally have the self-esteem and confidence they deserve. I just want people to feel good about themselves.I feel that fitness is about you taking that step to be the healthiest person you can be. I have been helping people reach their goals for years with long term results. Your results need to be maintained for life. When training with me you will learn the tips and ways to keep the weight off for long term. Ultimately I need to teach you how to live at your goal and not just visit it. That is why I teach you how to be fit instead of just get you there.
InterestsMy purpose is to teach people through fitness that they can build self-esteem and confidence while inspiring them to achieve what they want physicaly and mentaly. Working out makes me feel good, physically and emotionally. Growing up a troubled teen and having low self-esteem. I had to survive on my own sometimes on the wrong side of the law. After struggling many years to fix my life I eventually learned that working out makes me feel good about myself. Through this I have learned that fitness is an awesome catalyst for self-esteem and pride. It is a direct result of my past that fitness is my driving force and passion to help people be who they want to be and showing them that they can do active and fit. Fitness to me is about inspiration and trying to be better.
Favorite moviesSome of my favorite movies are "Get him to the Greek" and "Grease" I like mostly comedies. I like to laugh when relaxing.
Favorite musicI like all kinds of music and listen to most of it in the gym I'm working at.On my iPod I have a workout and run playlist with mostly rock and rap to get moving.
Favorite booksI read mostly motivational self help books by Zig Ziggler Jack Canfield. I also enjoy fitness educational books to continue learning.
