Interests	I’ve been living in the UK roughly since the beginning of the XXI century :). I still feel like a foreigner rather than a British citizen. I am continually getting to know this country, my opinions evolving slowly from reluctance to acceptance. I used to work in London, but lived 40 miles from its centre, somewhere outside the M25, so I spent a lot of time on commuting, both by trains and the underground. And that's how it all began ... My blog called ‘Whispers in the Tube’ as well as my nickname Fidrygauka (that can be translated as Little Miss Trivial :)) were born of the need to express my everyday thoughts, to jot down my observations on my way to work and to ‘digest’ the world around me. Of the need to understand the British (somehow when I write things down, I can see a wider picture :)). Initially I wrote short notes using my iPhone: comments, impressions, emotions dressed up in words, daily mish-mash, whispers in the tube and other city beats :) It was supposed to be systematic, short and to the point. But I’m too talkative for that. After almost half a year the concept changed. I started to write longer and less frequent entries. Sometimes I fancy to comment on a silly picture in Metro (urban newspaper with latest breaking news, showbiz gossips and adverts – nothing ambitious :)), on other days I feel like producing long ‘philosophical’ essays about life. I wish I could write in English as easily and fluently as in Polish… But I don’t, so unfortunately the blog is in Polish only (and please, don’t even attempt to use Google Translate :))
