About me

Gender Female
Occupation PhD Student (Wildlife Epidemiology)
Location Australia
Introduction I am a veterinarian and researcher with a passion for ecology, wildlife epidemiology and environmental conservation. I love pursuing photography and illustration as hobbies, and started as a freelance illustrator when I was 13 years old. I am currently doing my PhD on the devastating fungal disease, chytridiomycosis, which is threatening frogs worldwide. Most of my art focuses on wildlife with an attention to detail, composition and occasional stylistic elements. I prefer to paint in miniature using black acrylic ink and watercolours on fine hot-pressed paper. I usually use a tiny 20/0 brush, and my original paintings are often smaller than a postcard. I hope to raise awareness about the conservation of biodiversity through my art and photography.
