| Introduction | My husband calls me digits. Not surprisingly, I love math. I create spreadsheets of our budget out for 40 years and more, and then I create alternate budgets that account for different scenarios. Yes, I know this isn't normal. But it should come as no surprise that I find comfort in numbers. They are predictable. They don't break the rules. And they are very useful. We use them to count down to great events in life. And isn't that exactly how it is? God has numbered our days. From the day we were created until the day we leave this earth. If we truly see life as it is, we will understand how fleeting it is. There is much work to do and little time to do it. "Show me, LORD, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is." ~ Psalm 39:4 |
