| Introduction | I've never really fit into any particular mold and, quite honestly, gave up trying long, long ago. So...here goes my best shot at summarizing who I am. I am the mom of two amazing adult children ~~~ The daughter of two great parents ~~~ The roommate of three dogs -- two Border Collie mixes and one recently rescued hunting hound (who definitely isn't a Border Collie)~~~ A teacher of middle school children (and I love what I do!) ~~~ A tender of perennial and vegetable gardens ~~~ A paddler of sea kayaks ~~~ A true believer in Karma and the fact that kindness really DOES matter ~~~ A lover of nature ~~~ A log cabin dweller (yep...that really IS my front porch in the photo)~~~ An avowed lifelong learner (French 101 and Herbal Medicine are the lessons of choice this year)~~~ A relisher of simple living ~~~ A lover of local foods ~~~ A woman of the outdoors ~~~ An explorer and an adventurer on life's wonderful journey ~~~ A butcher, a baker, and a one-time-very-long-ago-as-a-4H Project- a candlestick maker (yes...really) ~~~ To sum it all up in four short words...a lover of life! |
