Introduction	I believe that life is a mix of fate, hard work, and karma. And it’s how you see things, how you build your life that makes you who you are. I believe that “it matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be.” I believe in the education that school gives and the education that a life lived can give. I believe in art, and I believe that music CAN save your mortal soul. I believe in doing what makes you happy, not just what pays the bills. I believe in city streets and I believe that there is nothing more peaceful in the world than to stand on the edge of an ocean with your feet buried in the sand. I believe in friendship. I believe in pedicures and good haircuts and cute shoes. I believe in the power of the written word. I believe I can never have too many books. I believe in fruit and vegetables and cupcakes. I believe in pink. I believe that everyone, once in awhile, should lie on their backs at 1 in the morning and look at the stars for awhile.
