| Introduction | After 19 years, I recently retired from Dakota Rural Action, a non-profit organization working for family farms and ranches, the environment, and other issues pertaining to South Dakota people. I am now organizing my house, and my life in preparation for my next road less traveled and whatever ventures lie ahead. One of my greatest adventures was to be included in the 1995 Nonviolent Alternatives program for a month in India. That trip changed my perspective of life forever. It showed not only how different a people/culture/nation we are, but mostly how much alike we are, that spoke to my heart. I remain involved in the Nonviolent Alternatives organization. |
