Introduction	I grew up on Long Island, New York – where houses are built one on top of the other, shopping centers are on every street corner and you see new faces everyday. I was in for culture shock when I accepted enrollment at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana; a school surrounded by cornfields for miles. To my surprise, it ended up being the greatest 4 years of my life. Through relationships I built and experiences I had I began to scratch the surface of my purpose in life. Being a globally-minded school I had a few opportunities to travel overseas. One trip that stands out in particular was my trip to South Africa where I was forever changed. A few years after graduation I found myself back in Africa, Kenya in particular and it was then that I knew I needed to give more of my life living in Africa. I next found myself in Uganda, this time for a year, but when the year was up I wasn’t ready to leave. I returned to the states with an anticipation to return but uncertain of when that would be. The time to pursue again is now and that’s where this blog begins!
