| Introduction | Life, to me, is an amazing proposition. It is an incredible journey of learning and doing, joy and inspiration, struggles and pains, ideas great and small, and pleasures simple and refined. We hope for the best, prepare for the worst, and enjoy the extraordinary panoramic vistas of God's creations as they arise. Most of the time, however, we hold on for dear life. Life is about doing. I believe we should set the highest physical, mental, moral, and spiritual goals for ourselves, and then fight like crazy to achieve them. When we succeed, we thank our God for his bounteous goodness, and our family, friends, and others who helped us along the way. When we fall flat, as we often do, we don't accept our shortcomings. We drag ourselves up off the ground, brush ourselves off, pick up the pieces, and start again. We help our friends along the way as well, through love, forgiveness, gentleness, a kind word, a helping hand, and an open heart and mind. By doing so, we make a better world, one "us," and one friend, at a time. |
