| Introduction | I'm just your average farm girl who loves to fight full contact with sticks! I started asking to do karate when I was 6 years old. Then when I was 8,R0-KEN Karate (Kyokushinkai Kan) opened nearby. I COULDN'T EVER LEARN ENOUGH! I train with Sensei Aaron Bailey 2 days a week. When I was 10 I met Grand Master Wu Bin from China. He's the personal coach to Jet Li and Jackie Chan. I was at a martial arts camp in Kalamazoo. I trained with him here in the U.S. and then, WOW! He sent me a personal invitation to train with him in China at his famous Wushu training center. It was a very special time for me especially because my own Grand Master Bong Jornales went with me to China. I actually met Master Bong when I competed in Grand Rapids on the local circuit in weapons doing a broadsword form that GM WU Bin had taught me at the martial arts camp in Kalamazoo. Master Bong sat as center judge. He asked me to come to one of his seminars and I've been training with him ever since! Grand Master Bong is awesome. He believes in me. He gives me as much as he feels I can handle and doesn't hold me back. He took me to my first regional, national, and World championships in 2005-6. |
