About me

Introduction I am a climber, nutrition educator and researcher. I have been climbing for about 9 years all around the world, and have participated in some Canadian and American competitions. I graduated with a degree in Human Nutritional Sciences at the University of Manitoba. I have and continue to work with a sports dietitian to help educate athletes. For 4 years I have been involved in nutrition research. I’ve had the chance to be in charge of two of my own projects. These were on nutrition for rock climbers. You can see the results of these projects on this blog! Currently, I am a dietetic intern at The Ottawa General Hospital. This internship will give me hands teaching in nutrition. I will be practicing in all areas of nutrition that will allow me to become a Registered Dietitian. Hopefully, I will have gained the experience I need to better serve you! I started this blog because I have seen that there is little nutrition information out there for us climbers. I have met lots of climbers who are interested in what to eat for our sport. For all the times I've spent at the bottom of climbs answering nutrition questions of other climbers, this blog is for you!
