| Introduction | I'm gonna be 70 years old on my next birthday. I'm a Nam vet, retired CCRN and I raised 5 youngins as a single parent.I have several serious health issues that I deal with daily. Now I own and run a 501(c)3 animal sanctuary for special needs and/or elderly animals, domestic and exotic. We become their "forever" home, until they pass. We give them medications, treatments, and vet visits as needed. Most are rescued or owner surrendered and would have been put to death if we hadn't taken them in. Some were abused, neglected, have birth defects, abandoned, tortured, etc. We meet their needs, make them comfortable and give them lots of love. We rely on donations and hope to get volunteers soon. We've been doin' this for 30 years, but just became a 501(c)3 non profit as of 2001. |
