| Introduction | I am bicycling across the states of California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Alambama, Mississippi, and Florida with a host of wonderful women through Womantours, a company specializing in bicycle tours for women. I've wanted to bicycle cross-country for many years. Now I have a reason. My father passed away after suffering from Alzheimer's disease. It is a disease which was devastating not only to my father, but also to all of us who loved him unconditionally. Alzheimer's disease is predicted to increase exponentially as we baby boomers age. We need to find out how to diagnose and treat this disease before it causes further heartache to hundreds of thousands.
