Currently, he is belaboring every sentence of his first novel, "Goodfriend", set in pre-Katrina New Orleans. Gay son of a West Bank deacon, Frederick learned the art of storytelling from Sunday school teachers, and honed his craft as Captain of the Sunday Joy bus.
