| Introduction | Geraldine Brooks is a Podiatrist with post graduate qualifications in public health and has spent most of her working life in community health services in Melbourne’s West. Geraldine was elected in November 2008 as Greens councillor for Harvester Ward, Brimbank City Council. Geraldine is an active community member as a: • breastfeeding counsellor with the Australian Breastfeeding Association Brimbank group, since 2004 • President of the Ardeer Community Playground Committee since 2004 • President of Sunshine Kindergarten • Secretary of the Ardeer West Sunshine Powerlines Action Group • member of the Brimbank Transport Action group (BTAG) • member of the Friend’s of Kororoit Creek. She is currently caring for her 3 young children with her wonderful husband Simon and lives in Ardeer. Geraldine cares passionately about the local community she lives in. Geraldine hopes to share on this blog her perspective on good local governance and building a liveable and just Brimbank. |
