| Introduction | Sewing is one of my passions besides my family that I enjoy. I have sewn on and off since the fourth grade, I am mostly self taught. I have destroyed more material than I will admit to, but I have created clothing over the years that I still wear. Besides being a wife, mother and grandmother, I am proud to say that I retired from the Army after 20 years only to learn that without a degree finding meaningful employment is difficult. But I refuse to allow this small setback to get me sidetracked. So I went to college full time, I am now in my 4th year as a Religious Studies Major with a minor in Leadership. My goal is to complete a Masters Degree in Public Administration. Why Religious Studies and not business, government or something else? Some years back I became disappointed, disheartened and dissatisfied with church and church folk. So I decided to find out for myself what I believed or did not believe. It has been a journey, but I can say that I have found for myself that Jesus is Lord, the Holy Spirit is real and God is God alone. |
