About me

Location Toronto
Introduction I have had several plans with several people over the years to join together and assemble a remarkable web page, that would confound and astound, from Scarborough to Etobicoke and beyond... In the mean time, here are some modest offerings for curious readers. 2011 update- I took off for a few years. Now I'm back.
Interests Music, Politics, Urban Decay and other city issues- such as, Cycling
Favorite Movies I have only seen documentaries for the last year or so. From this past year, "Street Fight", was a startling eye-opener. It's about a jaw-droppingly ugly mayoral race in 2005 in Newark.
Favorite Music I like many types of music. Examples of Canadian music I play on my radio show include, Stompin' Tom, Dick Nolan, The Haunted, Blue Rodeo, Jackie Mittoo, Leroy Sibbles, Frank Motley, Jackie Shane, Billy Martin, Mandala, Good Brothers, String Band, Ellen McIllwaine, Leonard Cohen, Offenbach, The Ugly Ducklings, and then music from the U.S.A. and around the world- Funkadelic, Traffic Sound, Fanny, Trio Mocoto, Santana, Grandmaster Flash, Rolling Stones, Bad Brains, Fela Kuti, Ofo and the Black Company, Osibisa, The only music I tend to ignore is techno and the whole 'House' genre- and I don't think good commercial music ever really recovered from the 80's.
Favorite Books Quite a few again, even if I start more books than I finish. I am currently reading Howard Zinn's A People's History of the United States.
