| Introduction | Kenneth S. Glickman has a diverse background that spans the fields of music, business and writing. His music interest began by playing French horn in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, studying with members of the Cleveland Orchestra. He was a scholarship student at National Music Camp at Interlochen and played in Army bands throughout the US and Japan. After the Army, Ken received his music degree from Indiana University. Ken taught music in the East Lansing schools and later became conductor of the Lansing Concert Band, taking the group on tour to Texas, New Orleans, and Minneapolis and winning many prestigious awards. In 1982 Ken began writing with the Lansing State Journal as its music and theater critic as well as a columnist in the career search area (his day job career). He regularly reviews symphony concerts, Broadway touring companies, folk groups, rock bands, community theater groups and classical artists. As a freelance writer, Ken has been published in the Wall Street Journal's National Business Employment Weekly, Career World, a cover article in Symphony Magazine, Moment Magazine and for local Lansing magazines |
