About me

Introduction	Dawn L Richards practices in the areas of health care and employment law. She handles cases in discrimination, unemployment, employee disputes, union hearings and arbitrations. She develops employee handbooks, admissions packages and corporate compliance programs. Ms. Richards also recently assumed responsibility for the application process for Assisted Living Residences. Prior to graduating from the Temple School of Law in Philadelphia, PA in 2008 and entering the legal profession, Ms. Richards functioned as hospital Chief Financial Officer for various for-profit health care systems. Ms. Richards spent twenty years in health care finance and was responsible for hospital financial operations, admissions, reimbursement, information systems and compliance. Her education includes a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Nevada, a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Nevada and a Juris Doctor from Temple. She served in the United States Army from 1983 until 1989 as a medical specialist. She currently teaches “Federal, State and Local Laws” for the Penn State Greater Allegheny Campus as part of the PCH and SNF Administrator programs.
