Caden and Mommy

| Introduction | Caden arrived on March 17, 2007 ... five weeks earlier than expected. Mommy's water broke at work. Caden spent 31 days in the special care nursery. Mommy's OB as well as Caden's pediatrician felt that something may not be quite right with Caden. We saw a geneticist in June and he felt Caden was fine. In January we saw a neurodevelopmental doctor at Children's Hospital in Seattle and he felt it was achondroplasia but we needed to see a geneticist to diagnose it. In April of 2008 the diagnosis was finally confirmed. Caden's Mommy has learned three things in the last year: doctor's really don't know everything, our medical and health insurance system is MESSED up! and being a Mommy is the greatest thing in world!!! |
