About me

Introduction I am an Ecologist with additional interdisciplinary education and degrees in aspects of the Social Sciences and Humanities and a transdisciplinary perspective. My journey has been motivated by a strong interest in nature and an equally strong curiosity about humanity in its interactions with nonhuman nature. In this regard, am fortunate to have founded the Religion and Conservation Biology Working Group of the Society for Conservation Biology in 2000 and, currently, am convening the Environmental Aesthetics Study Group. Much of my work has been with water, wetlands, and the plants and animals that live in these places. Serving this life-long interest, in 2012 I founded the Groundwater Wetlands and Bogs Study Group.
