Introduction	Caroline B: A bit of a “righty” when it comes to politics (and not afraid to say so). She comes from a Business background at Queens University. Heather V: A bit of a “lefty” when it comes to politics (and just as open to admitting it). She comes from a Social Justice and Peace background at Kings University College. We are both Social Work students at Kings University College in London Ontario. Our final assignment is to review a Canadian policy for our third year Social Work class, which we have endearingly nicknamed “the policy class”. We are supposed to analyze it in relation to the social work context. We chose to do Old Age Security and Guaranteed Income Supplements (OAS and GIS). Some of the research we have done has been very encouraging, but we were shocked at reactions to Bill C-428, and it stirred us up enough to write a blog. Here’s what we mean...
