| Introduction | A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Jimmie began performing with local musicians and recording artists on Bourbon Street in the 1960′s. Following classical studies at the Houston Conservatory of Music he toured from California to Florida with “Show Bands” and appeared in concert at The Hollywood Palladium with the rock band ‘Bluesberry Jam’. After ‘held over’ engagements at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas in the 1970′s and a highly successful appearance as an actor in “Jesus Christ Superstar,” he traveled the southeast states with country and rock bands. While living in Houston, Texas in 1980 to 1982 Jimmie worked with the legendary blues-man Joey Long at some of Houston’s most popular night clubs. |
