Introduction	Kirk Lodes was born in 1972 in the soccer capital of the USA, St. Louis, Missouri. Lodes had a solid playing career, a hard tackling left back who modeled his playing style after "Psycho" Stuart Pearce, Lodes retired in 1995. Since then, Lodes has worked as writer, soccer historian and on the side runs The St. Louis Cure Soccer Club. Outside of soccer, Lodes likes movies, reading, travel, and playing with his faithful dog Misty.
