| Introduction | My husband and I were married in 2006. We have two sweet girls, born in 2008 and 2011. In 2011 we received a surprising diagnosis for our oldest daughter. She has a rare genetic disorder called MPS IIIA (Sanfilippo Syndrome). In a nutshell, her body is missing a piece to be able to recycle things in her cells properly. This will result in irreparable damage to her body, both neurologically and physically. Her life will be significantly shortened. Complete life-changer for us. This is my blog to share how we do life, in a form that is as honest as possible. Filled with joy, heartache, happiness, mourning, frustrations, and ultimately, hope. |
