| Introduction | As a legal educator my goal is to provide students with the opportunity to achieve a well-rounded liberal legal education. The aim is to equip students with more than just the technical lawyering skills, but to facilitate their intellectual curiosity and their capacity for critical and independent thinking. I am interested in teaching cosmopolitan students interested in competing in the global economy, and who want to be participants in the republics of letters and ideas. |

Then proceeds to touch on American nationalism, regionalism, imperialism, race and racism, gender roles, ethnicity, business culture, law-and-order, the myth of individualism and, of course, patriotism. Those who view as another John Wayne cowboy and indian film miss the point.) |
