| Introduction | I have been an archaeologist and a teacher most of my life. I trained as a prehistorian and worked for a decade in southern Africa, then came home to England and continued here, first in the field and then teaching archaeology for eight years in Wiltshire. I worked at Stonehenge for several years before retiring in 2021. Even so, I try to keep up with the latest archaeological theories and discoveries relating to this iconic and still darkly mysterious site. In my spare time I have worked as a potter, and smelted bronze and iron in prehistoric replica furnaces. I learned to use a bow as a boy, and revisited longbow archery for a while as a member of a field archery club .I have published a number of academic papers and several Novels, including two about Stonehenge in the Early Bronze Age: "The Eye of Time" and the sequel "The Heart of the World". I hope there will be more to come. |
