| Introduction | Bree is a beautiful little girl with a gorgeous smile. At 6 months old she was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy as a result of Periventricular Leukomalacia (a medical term for white matter loss in the brain). Her condition is common, it's well heard of, everyone knows someone who knows someone whose child has Cerebral Palsy. Everyone has had some experience with Epilepsy. It's the same old story... But is it really? How much do people really know and more importantly understand about a child's and a family's struggle with either of these conditions. How many people even know what Cerebral Palsy actually is? |
