| Introduction | I grew up mostly in South Carolina, although my family moved to Mandeville, La (just outside of New Orleans) for a stint of about 6 years before moving us back to the Carolinas to be closer to extended family. My junior high/high school years were spent in Union, SC. I'm a graduate of Clemson University with a BA in design, and (then a few years later) a Masters in Architecture. After a major hardship, I was in much need of a change. In August 2005, I left Atlanta and moved to Los Angeles. Definitely an interesting time in my life. And due to the distance, I created this blog... to share my experiences with all of you. Well, now I have moved closer to home, and I'm enjoying Charleston, SC. I hope you enjoy my somewhat boring, but oh so exciting life. I'm 34 years old, recently married, no kids (yet), and no pets. |

| Favorite movies | My family thinks I have a warped sense of movie "taste", but I definitely enjoy documentaries over anything else. I'll leave it at that, I lived way too close to Hollywood to play favorites. |
| Favorite music | I love southern rock. Currently, some of my faves include (but are not limited to) the Avett Bros, Deer Tick, Drive-by Truckers, and My Morning Jacket. Always been a huge fan of the Black Crowes and the Violent Femmes. I'm also enjoying local artists like Cary Ann Hearst and Michael Trent. |
| Favorite books | I love anything written by David Sedaris, I enjoy magical realist fiction, and recently all I've had time to read are Study Guides for the ARE's (Architectural Registration Exams) and LEED Exam, although I can't necessarily say they are my "favorite books". |
