Introduction	Welcome to my blog! I'm Peter Desmond, a publisher, editor and freelance writer based in Cambridge, UK. After a twenty-something career in corporate international publishing I went out on my own and in 2005 started Next Generation Publishing, an independent publisher focussing on topics to do with parents, teenagers, families, education and personal development. We publish Next Generation magazine, which started in May 2006 and comes out six times a year - so we've recently published our 4th issue. Inevitably a lot of what I write here will be about Next Generation - but from a personal point of view. I'll be talking about the ups and downs of running our young business, about the people we meet, about our authors and the issues we choose to highlight. And I'll also be writing about life with my own three teenagers: Sally, Becky and Adam. Apart from all this I'll try to find room for my other personal passions, which include music of all kinds, books, paintings, cooking, wine, and watching cricket. I hope you'll find things here that interest you and stimulate you to respond.
