| Introduction | I am an Iowa transplant. I grew up in Northern California, in a farming community, with weekend trips to the family cattle ranch in the foothills. I served 4 years in the ARMY, and met some really amazing people. Now that I am in Iowa, and married, I live 2 miles from my in-laws, and 1500 miles from my parents, which explains a lot sometimes. We live on my Husband's family farm, and my Son, is the 6th generation to live here. I'll be writing about different things that take place; in the house, the yard, the barn, the garden, the field. | Interests | My son, and My husband are two of my favorite things. I have Chickens, a few cows, and two dogs. I have several small gardens, and am really into heirloom varieties of vegetables. We've just started building an orchard, and letting the chickens outside. I knit, and am learning how to sew. I love to cook and bake, and often combine recipes, to create new things. |
