Introduction Gloria Healy went from nurse to short story author of mysteries to poet. Along the way, she was nominated for the Pushcart Prize, was a nine time finalist in the Allen Ginsberg Poetry Award. Her poetry has been published in Animus, Connecticut Literary Review, Edison Literary Review, Exit 13, Journal of New Jersey Poets, Lips, Paterson Literary Review and The Poets of New Jersey: From Colonial to Contemporary Times. She also was editor of two historical anthologies: Monmouth County: A Poetic Portrait, which sold over 2000 copies and Poetic Reflections of Monmouth County. She coordinated and co-hosted both the First Annual Long Branch Poetry Festival and the Walt Whitman Poetry Festivals in Ocean Grove.
Interests She collects colonial antiques, has a shade garden with a mermaid sitting on the edge of a small pool. She's a Beach Bum who walks along the jetties year round, It's here she creates her poetry... the wind and the waves are her prompts. When she 's not walking the beach she's dancing/
